The only drive through post office

This is the Old Chicago Main Post Office, it is nine stories tall and has a expressway through it. It was build in 1921 and was expanded in 1932 in order to serve Chicago's great volume of postal business because of the mail-order business of Montgomery Ward (the largest retailer in the United States) and of Sears. By 2019 the structure will include offices for Walgreen's and also become the headquarters of the Ferrara Candy Co.

A drive through post office is such a great idea! I wonder why they don’t have more of them?

How interesting. I miss Montgomery Ward and it's catalogs.
