I liked it but it hits a little close to home these days.

Many changes come about when you have a broken leg but not all of them are negative. Instead of starting the day in the family room in front of the TV, I have been having my first cup of coffee at the dinette and what a sweet early morning view.....
I have discovered I accomplished my goal of creating a comfortable guest room by sleeping there.....very nice and lots closer to a bathroom with the walker.
I have lost a few pounds since going to the cupboard for snacks requires help:)
One of those old popular items have saved the day....
Hubby and I are showering together just like newlyweds......of course there is great attention to me not falling rather than the playing around of old.
I have been surprised how many things we built into our home that meet the needs of someone in a wheel chair. It wasn't something we gave a lot of thought to at the time.
and lastly....hubby has stepped up to the plate like a champ!
Medical update: Had the temporary cast removed Monday and the seven stitches on the left side removed but the stitches on the ankle itself were not healed completely so casted it and will have to go back next Monday and do it all over again. Hopefully the antibiotic they gave me will do the trick.......That is the area where the bone broke through the skin and they put two screws in.

Slip sliding away..................
Hubby and I were out taking a stroll in the back yard last Friday and of course I noticed the grass growing in the ground cover on the little mound so I suggested we pull it.....I went to step down the mound to dispose of my accumulated grass and started sliding.........well, I decided to not include the first picture since the ankle was not only out of the socket but one of the two fractured bones went through the skin so here is is today.....
One week in this and then four weeks in a cast and then we start therapy and then......
we will see if I can still dance. Actually, I will be happy to just be able to walk without this walker. If you think the injury hurts...the muscles to support yourself on this walker are screaming!!
