A-Z Challenge Recipes letter T

Tuna Casserole

2 1/2 Tbl. butter                                              1 1/2 Tbl. corn starch
1/4 tsp. salt                                                      dash of pepper
1 1/2 cup milk                                                 chopped onion
1 7 oz. can tuna (drained)                                1/2 Pkg. 8 oz macaroni (cooked)
1/2 pkg frozen peas (thawed and cooked)       1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
 
In pan, melt butter stir in corn starch salt and pepper. Add milk and cook till thickened. Add all other ingredients and pout into a greased casserole dish. Bake at 350 for 25 min.

This looks similar to how my mom would make her tuna casserole. I love tuna, but it doesn't like me so much these days (heartburn)

This was a favorite recipe of mine - I used to put potato chip "crumbs" on the top or crushed saltines.

I think I'm the only one in the family that likes tuna casseroles, so I rarely made them. This one sounds good to me.

I have almost forgotten about Tuna Casserole. Loved it a lot and will have to make this.
