Tuesday night dinner

I have been pretty quiet on my dinners, mostly because for one reason or another I haven't cooked on my Tuesday but this week I did. I don't have a recipe to share but a great tidbit. I fixed baked pork chops with stuffing and the thing that made it different is that the dressing was made with applesauce as well as butter and water but also with raisins and I must say it was very good but what was great was my little side idea. A record

If you have been watching the news you know that we here in Arizona are experiencing some unusual  weather. In fact the Phoenix area shattered a 122 year old record. I think it might have been on Thursday night when hubby and I came home and I asked him to start a fire. Most unusual in late Feb. for sure!

Here are some odd facts about Armadillos......

From the sole egg forms four identical twins. That's why always an armadillo litter contains offspring of the same sex. The young armadillos are born well developed, with open eyes and can walk in just a few hours. They are covered by a soft skin that gradually hardens as they grow up.

The armadillo is the only other species except humans which can get leprosy. This makes them extremely valuable in the research of this disease

Sad

My kids were here from Texas for a visit and to attend a church conference which was a happy time but while they were here their dog suddenly died and they think it may have been rat poison. They had just moved to a new property and although they checked the yard it may have been buried somewhere. He was only 3 years old and like most pets...greatly loved. I was always afraid of him because he was so big but while visiting there this past year in may, he won Grandma's heart.
