On the left is my husbands brother, Billy. He passed away yesterday. Many things hurt when death occurs but perhaps the worst is knowing we aren't far behind. Hope we are all ready when the time comes.

I'm sorry for your loss. I guess we never know - a friend who is only 55 is in ICU tonight after having a heart attack. We all need to be ready!

Yes, you are right about that. I’m trying to wrap my head around the fact I will soon be 70 and Louis Dean 82. Without a doubt we are in the winter season of life. My soul is ready and has been since I was about 5 years old when I accepted Christ as my Savior.
I’m thinking of the Kenny Chesney song.......Everybody wants to go to heaven......but nobody wants to go right now.....
It’s a wonderful thing to know that it’s not up to us when we go. God has our times in his hands.....

I am seventy-five years old. I can’t last forever. People live. people die. That’s it - nothing more, nothing less.
