U for A-Z Challenge

U-Uniondale, Long Island, N.Y.

All the way across the U.S. we find Uniondale on the far western part of Long Island with a population of nearly 25,000.

Here, it is all about sports
New York Islanders

who play at the Nassau Veteran's Memorial coliseum

along with the Hockey team,

You won't want to miss Museum Row where you will find the Cradle of Aviation
Home to legendary aircraft including Charles Linberg's Jenny

The Long island Children's Museum provides families a wonderful place to enjoy hands-on exhibits as well as art, music and science workshops.

Maybe you have heard of the world famous Jones Beach State Park?
6.5 miles of beautiful white-sand on the Atlantic Ocean.

The park's oceanfront setting and natural environment have little development or advertising, drawing 6 to 8 million visitors from the hustle and bustle of New York City for a breath of fresh air and relaxation.

You will find the most amazing things here on this beach like this open air theatre  (what a sight).

Or better yet!!!! How about learning to fly?

Flying Trapeze and Aerial Arts...

Oh if I were just a little younger and my bones didn't break so easy:)

Just be sure you don't go during Hurricane season. Even though not as heavily hit as Sandy Hook they did experience problems when Hurricane Katrina came through.

Happy Trails
