J -Jardiniere

What is a Jardiniere?

There are three definitions for this pretty french word.

1. A Pot

2.A culinary dish with mixed spring vegetables.

Well, the two have nothing in common but this isn't too weird until the third meaning popped up............

3. A European mole cricket!!!

So much for that pretty little french word..........

I gave my grandmother a pretty ceramic pot once and she called it a jardinere. I had no idea those other things were called that! :)
