Up close and personal

Last Thursday at my small group the leader asked how many had fallen in the last six months, I raised my hand as well as some of the other women. She said "it is much easier to fall again once you have fallen".
Come Sat. morning I went out to the garage to take some garbage out which I have done hundreds of times and coming back I stubbed my toe on the step and went down on the cement on my right side.
Trust me it was not a pretty picture. It scared me so bad I peed my pants and I knew I was hurt, the question was....how bad. I was home alone and it occurred to me I may not be able to get up and hubby wouldn't be home for hours and hours. I remembered when I broke my ankle that it went numb right away so I thought I better try to get up right away. I was able to grab a hold of a table saw leg and pulled myself up, got in the house and found my cell phone and laid down on the couch to keep from throwing up as I was hurting bad. Well, that is all the bad news, the good news is that I fell on my side with my right arm under me and it helped cushion my fall so that I only have VERY sore ribs and one black and blue boob (can you believe it)  some bruising on both knees and on my right hand. Thank you Lord. I think falling is the most helpless feeling in the world, would you agree?

Changes

I love my uplifting Wed. posts but I don't want my blog to seem as if it is only about that and every Wed. comes up pretty fast so I have decided to make uplifting Wed. every other Wed. Hope you all will stay tuned:)

Nature's awe

This is how the moon looked Friday night. No, I didn't take the picture, I tried to take some as we drove home from dinner but all the car lights and street lights created a problem but some sweet someone captured it in all its glory.

Labor Day week-end

My granddaughter who recently left to go to college in colo. was in Prescott playing a volleyball tournament this past Fri. She had T-shirts made for all the family and here we are...

Aunt, Nana, Dad, her, Mom, Grandma, Papa and brother but the cutest part is that her last name is Marshall and we are indeed her team backers...
It was great to get to see her but we were only go to see one game as the week-end was also my 50th High School reunion. My class hosted it so was busy but well worth it. Had a wonderful time. May post a picture on that at a later time.
