Home Made Noodles
These are so easy to make and they taste so different than store bought!
1 egg 3 Tbl. cold water
Beat the above together with a fork. Add enough flour to make a really stiff dough that is no longer sticky. Roll out thin and let day (couple of hours). Then roll up jelly style and cut in strips. I usually double this recipe.
One way I like to eat this is to simmer a small pork roast or chicken with spices and then remove and shred the meat; add the noodles to the water and cook until soft and done. Add the meat back and serve with green onions and soy sauce to taste.

I have wonderful memories of helping my Mom make noodles. You're right, homemade is much better than those sold in the store.
I never tried making homemade noodles; I think I'll add it to my bucket list to do so :)
betty
i have never made noodles, this i will have to try....sooooooo easy!!!!
Looks like a fun cooking project. We had a hand-cranked pasta machine that we gave up years ago when we moved to the boat -- it'll be fun to try again, especially since this time all we'd need is a rolling pin (or just maybe an empty wine bottle) -- Jaye from Life Afloat
Hmm, tried to comment but came up blank, sorry if this becomes a double post. We had a hand crank pasta machine years ago, we gave it up when we moved aboard due to lack of space. With this recipe, it would be a fun project to try fresh pasta again. Especially since all we'd need is a rolling pin ... or maybe just an empty wine bottle. Cheers! -- Jaye from Life Afloat
If only John wasn't watching his carbs...
Will be doing that!
