Changes

When my mom would say we were having.....
 Hot dogs

 sauerkraut
 and mashed potatoes for dinner............

it would bring tears to my eyes.

so what would she say if she could see what hubby and I shared for dinner last night?

Well she would say that's not a hot dog its Bratwurst and you have gravy on your mashed potatoes and I can't believe you ate this with a smile!

How about you...are there things you like to eat now that you hated as a kid?

Oysters and oyster stew gagged me when I was a child, but now I love them.

I love hotdogs and sauerkraut, too. Always have.

For the new year my mom would have black eyed peas, corn bread, and cabbage for good luck - I used to fight it - now I wish I had it.

Absolutely, I wouldn't eat anything with strawberries in 'em 'cause strawberries had rock's (seeds) in 'em. Today...I can't get enough.

Fish...I wouldn't touch it with a ten food pole. I rustled up a fish dinner last night. I could go on but I won't bore ya'll.

God bless ya and have yourself a fantastic weekend!!! :o)

My mother made the most delicious ribs and sauerkraut but she would feed the kids hotdogs and sauerkraut. The first meal Ron cooked for me was ribs and sauerkraut and that, along with so many other things, endeared him to me. His are as good as mom's.
