Show and Tell Friday

On top of the china cabinet sits these

pieces of glasswear from my Mom. They have all turned purple with age.

But a special peek inside reveals this dried rose from her funeral and a very old broken watch

Some things are priceless

This is a lovely nostalgic post. I have a couple of pieces of that bubble depression glass. Mine is the 'blue' and hasn't been tinted that lovely lavender.

What you say is Soooo True. Some things just have so much meaning, there is no way to even try to put a price on them....And all these things are so very precious...! I have a piece or two from my Grandmothers China, and quite a few things from my mothers China and Silver, etc....Plus some pieces of furniture that were in the house I grew up in....! These things are so very precious and are irreplaceable.
I so appreciate this post.

Just catching up. First I love the humor in the alfac post. We have a similiar cabinet, not as big as yours , and it is from Great Uncle Owen (my husband and son are named for him) and it is full of stuff from his travels. Thanks for sharing.
Peace

What a lovely idea to show what's in your cabinet. I have one too but it doesn't have half as much stuff in it. I also like your lace cloth on the middle shelf with the corners dangling down.
Thanks for visiting and adding your name to my One World One Heart giveaway. My daughter Natalie has joined in the event and is giving away one of her paintings. If you'd like to visit her blog, she can be found at http://conversationswithflowers.blogspot.com/2008/02/im-doing-one-world-one-heart-and-i.html

I have a china cabinet almost just like this filled with dolls. A picture of it is on my sidebar.
