Immigration

I am a product of immigration. My grandparents immigrated here from Norway in the early 1900's so I guess you would think I want to stay quiet about immigration right?
Wrong, the country opened the doors to immigrants in the early 1900's to better this country...they gave them the opportunity to homestead in exchange for civilizing parts of the country that were barren. In other words they were invited to come here and even then they had to meet certain critera to be able to come. Most importantly they came legally.
Immigration is a highly debated topic and there are some parts of the US that are not effected a lot by Illegal immigration like we in Arizona are but a most informative video is available here . Even I was amazed at the statistics found on this video.
Now in defense of the illegal immigrants that are here.......................It is our (USA) fault......why? We did not adhere to the laws that were already established and simply looked the other way until it has become............a problem.

Thanks for sharin the video. It was an eye opener. It is so sad that the leader of this country have no forsite and most of all no common sense to fix a problem before it becomes a problem.
Peace

I saw something the other day that said, "Calling illegal aliens undocumented immigrants is like calling drug dealers unlicensed pharmacists". It is a bit of a stretch but how have we lost control of both.

Almost every day we have a substance abuser named Brittany Spears on the front page of the paper. Our country has allowed her and other addicts to spin out of control just like we have allowed immigration to spin out of control. Something has got to give and we're not helping anybody, especially ourselves.

Thanks for this post. The video is a wonderful illustration of what's happening in our country.
We need to let our Congressmen and women know how we voters feel! I did a lot of that last year, but have been lazy the last couple of months. I'll get back to it!
