Tidbit

I recently read that if you have left over avocado slices you  should put the pit with them and they won't turn brown....




It works!! This was in the refrigerator over night.

ooooh this is so good to know!! i LOVE avocado, does it matter wether the storage container is glass or plastic??

I've heard that, too! I used to make guacamole and put the pit in the center when I refrigerated it.

Now that's a good tip. Thanks for sharing. We use a lot of avocados in our home for avo toast and guacamole.

Ironically, I just learned this tidbit last week. My great-granddaughter loves avocado but it frustrated me that they turned brown so quickly after cutting them. Now I leave the seed in, and cut around it, and they last much longer. Thank you for your tidbits, they are much appreciated.
