A Lesson in Irony

The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is proud to be distributing the greatest amount of free meals and food stamps ever and in fact Speaker Nancy Pelosi has stated that it is even a economy stimulant.

Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, has this warning for us ~

Their stated reason for the policy is because the animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves.

This ends today's lesson.

It sounds so simple but it is the most difficult lesson for us to learn. I was raised on giving a "hand up" instead of a "handout".

The Park Service has it correct to bad they cannot teach the U S Dept of Ag. the lesson. Nancy P has no idea about anything. I would like to drop her in the woods with only a back pack and see if she makes it out. But first I would make sure Wild Hogs were in the area. OOPS kitty justice is showing. Peace

You know, there are some people in this the richest country in the world, who are for one reason or another unable to take care of themselves. My sister had Down's syndrome, the most severe form, she could not speak, eat by herself, walk, and of course was totally unable to fend for herself. My dad had some money and got supplemental insurance for her, but the Swedish state helped her live with dignity in a good nursing home. I wonder what would have happened to her here. Particularly if she had been poor. And what is the solution for all the sick and poor children here? It's not their fault that they are
poor. Are you saying they should starve? I love this country, but sometimes I don't understand it.
