We have a plant here in Arizona that we call "Cat's claw" but in Spanish it is known as Una de Gato or as Indian name of Vilcacora. It is a woody vine found in the tropical jungles of South and Central America and it derives its name form it's claw-shaped thorns.
Several years ago I planted two of these plants in a little planter in the side yard
See the woody stock to the right
They grew and covered the whole wall
Covered and hangs down the arborand hangs over the back side of the wall....now that's what I call a bang for your buck!

Will those claws latch on to visitors?
I would agree. All that from two plants. WOW! Peace
Yikes, those are some serious thorns!
It looks great on your wall.
I guess the claws do look serious but they really are mild, just enough to hang onto the wall or trees or whatever.
Wow! I really like the way it has vined out and climbed around. Nice!
Great value!
We have something called Kudzu here in Georgia - brought in I belive from China - good ground cover to prevent soil run off.
Now it has taken over everything!
