While growing up I was always taught to cover your mouth when you coughed or sneezed but recently I found out I have been doing it wrong!!
According to the CDC you should use a tissue and if that isn't available you should sneeze into your sleeve and not your hands. This makes perfect sense and with this flu situation I hope to
re-learn fast.

When I joined the hospital auxiliary several years ago, we were instructed to sneeze this way. I have been doing it since.
We have taught my grandson to sneeze this way too.
My husband carries a big red bandanna in his pack pocket and has most of his life. He coughs and sneeze into it always and rarely catches any communicable diseases. Guess I better start borrowing his extra hankies.
At work we teach the kids to sneeze into their shoulder. We already have three confirmed cases of flu in our school. I am afraid it is going to be a long fall/winter season.
