Blogville blues

Maybe because it is summertime and people are on vacations or having company or just enjoying the nicer weather but whatever it is, it is mighty quiet in blogville. Many of my favorites haven't blogged in over a month and some I am worried that they have just given it up or that they are ill or worse, after all many of us bloggers aren't spring chickens. One of my favorites simple said they were closing it after two years of daily posting of pictures and I so appreciate the notice rather than just silence. So how about you? Do you notice less postings and etc.?

Yes, I have noticed that many of my favorite blogs are posting less. I hope it means that they are out having fun and will post photos of their adventures when they return.

Maybe it's too hot (lol)! Just kidding. I've noticed less people writing, looking, and posting. I thought it was just my blog. Maybe it's summer time and people are busy. Love your blog though.

Old age and busyness for me. I haven't posted a recipe in so long and totally neglect my original blog. Seems the AD is taking up a lot of my time.
Love your pic, btw.

I'm just returning after a number of months away. Going down my list of bloggers I follow, so far there are only one or two who have not had a recent update.

I know what you are talking about. It's not just an absence of bloggers it is an absence of a certain enthusiasm. I can't pinpoint the difference but it has to do with the end of the Presidential campaign I think.

Two of my favorite people have almost completely stopped posting -- and I miss them. Otherwise, I have a full read every day!

Yes, I have noticed the same and 3 of my favorites are gone or about to leave blogland. I always feel a void when someone leaves but always wish them well. I think all the blogger I visit as an extended family. Saying this I too have been lax in my daily blogging. I have more duties with my 90 year old MIL and yardwork glore. This 59 year old takes a little longer to do things than when I was in my 20. I even tried posting every other day but then I just had to do it when I got a chance. Peace

Yes, there are fewer comments on my blog and many of those who I visit often are not posting so often. Perhaps it's the influence of Twitter and Facebook taking up more of people's time. I haven't joined either site.... not yet anyway.
Also blogging was a fresh new way to communicate... perhaps it's getting a bit old and tired??
I only post when I have something interesting to show or say, but I certainly can't do it on a dialy basis, more like 2 or 3 times a week at the most.
But I have to say that I try to read as many blogs as I can, and I really enjoy what everyone has to say. The blogs I don't read are mostly comments on the politics of the USA, of which I know very little and don't feel I am qualified to make comments on.
