Fried fish and Brussel sprouts were the menu and the new item was....
Biscuits for Two
1 cup flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder.
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
1/4 cup cold butter
1/2 cup 2% milk
Heat over to 450
Mix dry ingredients together, then cut in the butter until it looks like coarse crumbs.
Add milk and stir just until everything is moistened. Turn out on a floured board and knead 8-10 times. Dough might seem a little sticky at first, but it will come together nicely after knead it a few times.
Pat out dough to 1/2" thickness and cut with a floured biscuit cutter or a glass works fine as well.
Bake 10-12 min. Brush with butter when they are hot of the oven. Makes 4 biscuits.
Note: It actually made five biscuits so had biscuits and gravy and scrambled eggs for breakfast:)

I ❤️ baking powder biscuits!
Thanks for the recipe! It's nice to have things in smaller quantity.
I so rarely bake and imagine my baking powder and cream of tartar are out of date. LOL
thank you for stopping by and taking the time to leave sweet words, it means alot. Very sad time here. I know with time it will get easier.
