What a difference a day makes...

This is what hubby said after falling Tues. and spending four days in the hospital. Fortunately he only compressed his lumbar and got a concussion but he is so sore that he is sure a truck ran over him. It was to be a big week of competition and instead it is all he can do to get he to the bathroom. However, at his age and the kind of fall it was it is a miracle he did not break a hip or fracture his skull.

God is good!

Wow, that must have been some fall! So glad the injuries are not as bad as they could have been. Praying he will heal quickly and be back to his normal activities soon.

Linda, it was an accident. He got up in the back of a pickup and helped unload it. He was attempting to step back down out of it when it fell straight down on his butt and then flew back and hit his head, bounced and hit his head again. It knocked him out. He doesn't remember anything from time before the fall clear until about 5 hours after the fall. We think his blood pressure may have spiked and he passed out stepping down but no one really knows. He is 73, has COPD and has no business doing what he was doing but you know men:)

I am happy that he is recovering nicely. If only we could find some computerized bracelet that would warn us of impending falls and guard against them.
