Home Front

We traveled to Norman, Oklahoma last week-end for the yearly Colt show. Drove right past where the tornado went through last May.
See how the damage is on both sides of the Freeway? It is all cleaned up and much re-built now.

We stayed in the Embassy Suites
Which is always nice however, they were not prepared for us in the restaurant the first night which caused havoc.

A friend of ours brought some jewelry that he had made in a class he took and I really like the one piece...He gave it to me!!
It is all sterling silver and I just love it!!

I take knitting when I go and I made a bunch of preemie socks out of scrap yarn
(you can see more on the side bar under Rambling Rae)

and I finished a auto book which you can also see on the sidebar (bookshelf).

It was a profitable, enjoyable trip:)

Any chance you got near Tulsa? I'm going to meet you one of these days when you hit Oklahoma.

Love that bracelet! I was just up the the road from Norman this weekend--in Edmond, attending a wedding and visiting the kids.

Sounds like a nice trip! And how lovely of you to make those little socks! Someone will be very thankful for them.

Wow, the bracelet is gorgeous! Mind if I borrow it for a couple of years?

Good to hear that Norman is rebuilding.

Love the sweet and tiny socks.

Sounds like a really good trip and to be giving a sterling silver handmade bracelet was a very pleasant SURPRISE. Makes me happy to know some little ones feet will be covered and warm by your handy work. Blessings to you. Peace
