For the birds

This is a frequent visitor here at my house

He is a Gamble's quail which are common here to Arizona. I took this picture out of my office window which has a sunscreen on it and is the reason he was so close and not scared. He was just checking things out.....

I love these birds as well as others and that is the reason we feed them but whoever came up with the statement
 "She eats like a bird"
 has never feed one.......

This is two of our feeders and as you can see there are getting whittled away quick as a flash.

I really liked the first photo - looks like he has helmet on - very official like. Just stroller down the road. Sandie

That quail is my kind of bird with his head dress. Love the markings and yep you do have lots of birds to feed but isn't it fun. I have enjoyed watching the mama birds feed the babies especially the Mother Red Bellied Peckerwood. Peace

I've never seen that type of quail before. Amazing that he/she comes right up to the house.

Not only do birds eat a LOT, they are messy eaters. They are fun to watch at the feeders, however.
