Changes

Well like most folks at this age....I don't like changes, but.........I have made this one willingly!

 My past........

 My future.....

I broke down and bought this little kindle and I think........I am in love. Oh my gosh it weights nothing and holds over 50000 books!!!! This one can be turned into an auto book which is my favorite of all and if you want to do a Bible study...this is the way to go. Every verse has references and you can get them by just touching the screen. Come up on a word your not sure of? Just hold it and a dictionary with the meaning pops right up. It is new to me yet and I am just learning but think we are going to become fast friends....who said you can't teach old dogs new tricks?

I love "real" books, but you're making me start to rethink my decision to stay away from e-books. Have fun with your Kindle!

very cool! glad you like it!

Loving 'real' books, I didn't expect to enjoy the Kindle as much as I do.

Being lightweight, never losing your bookmark and convenience of never being without a book is wonderful.

I admire your ability to change! I, on the other hand, love to hold, feel and SMELL books. I simply can't read them unless they are 'real.' I wish I could.....it would be so much easier and I am happy YOU like yours!!

I love my Kindle, too! It's made shopping for books so much easier. And I'm reading more now than I ever did before.

My mother was an avid reader and had to give up her beloved books when her arthritic hands could no longer hold the book long enough for her to read much. How wonderful a Kindle would have been for her.

What is an "auto book"?

Grannie Annie....I have a little Nano..it is about two inches square and it can clip on you shirt or whatever. You download auto books from the library (free) and many times the voices will be in character. Have listened to many books this way and not had to sit still to "read".

Been thinking of getting me one of these but just love the "feel" of real books...however the Kindle has much in its favor.

The movie looks like one I will need to see!

i love the kindle most because I used to load my suitcase down on vacation with books, and now you can have many books in the little lightweight thingy. I sometimes miss the feel and smell of books, but I can't carry lots of weight in the RV, so the kindle is perfect. I just downloaded several books since I have wifi at the moment!

A new toy is always a fun thing to get. However, I do love to read a book and literally turn the page. Peace
