Cactus
My neighbors cactus is in bloom
Speaking of cactus can you believe this.......
A bobcat is stting on top of this saquaro cactus. Wouldn't you think he would pick a nicer spot?
Well according to a couple at a local lake that took these pictures, he scurried up this cactus because he was being chased by a lion.
I think he is safe don't you?
Better a little pain in leu of being eaten...I win!
Monica Beautiful cactus flowers. The bobcat gave us comfort for safety. Smart cat. We had one that lived down by the pond in the valley but we have not seen him in awhile. Only a bird would give his mate a stick. LOL I am afraid we human females might use it on the males instead of making a nest. The bookmark was precious. Peace
I have friends who raised a bobcat as a pet--"Roberta Pussycat". You wouldn't believe the variety if facial expressions it had, especially on the day we went with them on their boat (the PUSSYCAT, of course) & poor Roberta, who was usually such a good sailor, got seasick. Great photos!
Great pictures of the cat. I once saw one scurry up a tall powerpole here, escaping coyotes, but then being so harassed by ravens that it took a huge leap to the ground and survived it all. Isn't nature wonderful?--Inger

Wow! Tremendous photos!!! I just love the expressions on the cat's face; and the one showing the size of the cat compared to the cactus... stupendous.
These are the greatest pics. I have never seen a flowering one before. And the bobcat - ouch - but if it saved my life . . .
Ouch! Even though he/she is safe, the spines will be a painful reminder for quite some time.
