Janet Napolitano
Secretary of Homeland Security
Here is a little background:
1998.....Served as Arizona Attorney General. Her tenure focused on consumer protection issues and improving general law enforcement.
2003 - 2009.........Served as Arizona's 21st Governor.
2007....following President Bush's signing a measure authorizing the construction of a fence along the 700 miles of the U.S.-Mexico border, Governor Napolitano signed a bill providing what was thought to be the toughest state sanctions in the country against employers who knowingly hire illegal immigrants. This law was challenged and ruled constitutional by the ninth district court.
March 17, 2009 Janet Napolitano halted the building of the fence along the Mexico borders and redeployed the $50 million allotted to other tested commercial available security technology.
March 24, 2009.....As Homeland Secretary the administration official announce U.S. -Mexico Border Security Policy with congress appropriated $700 million dollars to enhance Mexican law enforcement and judicial capacity and working closely to coordinate our efforts against the cartels.
(April 23, 2010.....Arizona Governor Brewer signs illegal immigration bill)
April 26, 2010...... on ABC "Good Morning America: Napolitano states "that is one misguided law"
March 16, 2010..... Texas officials calls upon Homeland Security for Drones to help patrol their borders
March 24, 2010........ Janet Napolitano orders drones to patrol Texas Border.
May 18, 2010 During the committee hearing on the BP oil spill when asked if she had read the Arizona bill her response was that she had not read it in detail. Note: the bill is 10 pages long and she was the past Governor of Arizona!
June 3, 2000....offers to help Saudi leaders to put a stop to illegal border crossings. "It is a very rough border, very difficult to protect from illegal crossings," U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said.
These were the normal warning signs found along the border in the past but things have changed. Although there is controversy over how much land is closed in the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge
that runs along the border, but there are many acres of land that are indeed closed. This came about because of the environmental concerns about the destruction of the land and limits the Border patrol to not come in on anything but horseback or foot to patrol the area.
This is a common sight in the heavily traveled areas of the Arizona desert
and we now have new signs posted by the National Public Lands
These have been posted in the area where Pinal County Deputy Louie Puroll was shot in a confrontation with drug smugglers in April 2010.
June 27, Napolitano states "the Arizona border is as safe as it has ever been".
July 6, 2010.....The Federal Government files a law suit against Arizona

The bases of this in a nut shell is that the government says that each State can't decide how to handle the Illegal Immigration problem that the government itself is not controlling however it is not a problem for San Francisco and other sanctuary cities to decide not follow the federal law that has already been established and a lawsuit was never considered.
What does this mean for me...A resident of Arizona?
DOUBLE WHAMMY
which is a idiom to mean when something causes two problems at the same time or when two setbacks occur at the same time.
I pay my tax to the Federal Government to follow the law and protect all our borders. I am now paying Arizona State tax to protect myself from the Federal governments lawsuit and meanwhile...................................

God help us!........
Have to admit, I cringed when I saw her picture.
This is good stuff!
This reminds me of how the civil war was started. State rights and soventry was the biggest part of the issue back then. The worse about her is that she has turned her back on the very state she is from. Another sign that there is TOOOOOO MUCH BIG BROTHERISM. Since we just celebrated the 4th, makes you wonder what our founding fathers would think of this big government and the issue of illegal aliens. Peace
I am SO GLAD that I live in CANADA!
I have been reading about Arizona and I feel bad. Sandie
It is all so simple. We simply must wake up our sleeping nation.
