A little history if you please

The U.S. Postal Service was established in 1775
You have had 234 years to get it right......................It is broke
and we have this wonderful stamp for Christmas to look forward to
Check it out here
Not on my mail, thank you.
Social Security was established in 1935
You have had 74 years to get it right.......It is broke.

Fanny Mae was established in 1938
You have had 71 years to get it right.......It is broke and just to set the record straight go here.

The War on Poverty started in 1964
You have had 45 years to get it right and $1 Trillion dollars spent each year........It hasn't worked.

Medicare was established in 1965
You have had 44 years to get it right.....they're broke.

Trillions of dollars went to the TARP (Troubled Asset Relief Program) a fraction has been spent and has not seemed to make much of a difference and the economy is improving in spite of it.

and last but not least...................................................

The cash for Clunkers program was established in 2009 and went broke in 2009!
Now that is a record you can be proud of.

Listen folks............maybe no one there is keeping check on backgrounds but we the "American People" are and
your track record stinks!

I'm reeling over here ... a Muslim Christmas stamp? Whose Country IS this anyway? Excellent post.

I have the same comment, I never expected to see a Musim Christmas stamp, it seems a bit unusual. But I don't think it's really Christmas, it's for Eid, which is the feasting celebration at the end of Ramadan.

The Muslim stamp seems to be the most horrific in this post, while actually the worst thing is government's historic inability to mange money while they plan to reposess more of our tax dollars as they join hands chanting, "Trust us!".

I ditto everyone and you. So tell me - how can we show or what can we do - we don't agree, but what do we do?

Chatty, each person needs to make those decisions but I encourage you to not feel helpless...here are a few ideas...Speak out!
Stay on top of the news with a creditable news channel, write your congressman if you think he/she is supporting something you are not, go to a tea party if there is one in your area, refuse to purchase the muslim stamp if that is offered to you, always vote for the people you feel will represent you and your views and last but not least......PRAY.

Changes
First of all, if we could get Franklin Raines who falsified Fannie Mae's financila reports so he could collect bonuses totalling $90 million for five years to be repaid to Fannie Mae it may help the problem somwhat.
Everyone should go to Congress.org and sign up for the roll call. This week our President wants a Consumer Financial Protection Agency to regulate credit cards and mortgages. You can tell your representives how you feel about this by email, it gives you the Bills of the week and how our representives voted as a majority and then you have access to email them on any or all of the bills. Then if you sign up for MegaVote on Congress.org you will get an email telling you how your Senators and Representive voted. So far each time I email mine, Sen Lamar Alexander, Sen Bob Corker and Rep Jim Cooper have responded. Another HOOAHH for the internet, it is easier to keep up with what they are doing.
Peace
