FashionABLE

"I am still trying to find my true fashion self. Cute no longer works, nor does sophisticated. Mysterious is out. I hope I find it soon, before that last permanent stage; before floral print polyester with three-quarter sleeves, and acrylic shawl and shoes with build-in bunion lumps."
writer Gretchen Sentry

There is no question that being older is an awkward age but perhaps Marie von Ebner-Eschenback has found the perfect answer "Being young is beautiful but being old is comfortable." Either way the key is ABLE.

Oh I hate to think of the day where I might not wear blue jeans. Please tell me that day doesn't have to come! I loved the picture of the antelopes. So sweet.

Hello and thank you much for stopping by one of my blogs. And especially, for commenting.

You left a comment in my Photos-City-Mine blog, about the old scale in our family drug store. I'm so happy that you enjoyed the nostalgia. Hope you will have time to look back through this blog of mine, 'cause it's purpose is a form of nostalgia.

I love my city and how it learned to value and preserve its Victorian architectural heritage. And I wanted to make a Net Record of many places and sites, here. Not every photo is "pretty," because no place is allllll-pretty. Every place must have its "sore spots." So, on occassion, I show them too. But basically, this blog is my love song to my city.

I love this entry!!!!!!!

-grin- Can you guess that I too, am a "Woman Of A Certain Age"? And though I dream of it, I'm just not able to pull-off the "older classy dame" way of presenting myself. ,-)

But... "Able" is the key word, isn't it?!? And I do like the "comfortable" part too.

ha ha ABLE IS THE KEY WORD. I feel lucky to be ABLE to get up and put on clothes either fashionable or comfortable. Growing up in the country you can figure out which one I pick.

It shocks even me to see how I walk out the door these days. Chicken farmers go for the durables and comfortables in the "able" categories.

I agree on the ables. Comfortable is definitely how I now dress, and I'm able to dress as I like.
