Roses

Here in southern Arizona our roses bloom twice a year, spring and fall..
Wished I could send the smell too:)

How wonderful you get to see blooms twice a year. I had thought mine were going to bloom again as they even had a new bud growing, but over night something stripped them down to bake bones and the bud was gone. Nothing but bare branches on my rose bush right now. Sigh.

Do you know the name of your rose?

My Sally Holmes blooms all summer, if I keep her dead headed. She's pretty but doesn't have much scent. I've been looking for a David Austin Sombreuil Rose as they smell heavenly and have a long bloom time. I had one on the home ranch, that I got from an antique roses place that was going out of business. Should have taken cuttings...sigh
