Knitting

The other day fellow blogger "Wyoming Breezes" posted about her "knitting nest" I had never really thought of it like that before but indeed I have one:)
Current project

Holds all my needles and etc.

More needles and a few often used patterns

but here is where the stash is.....
For shame, for shame......

I mostly knit for preemie babies so yarn lasts a long time and I have more of what most people consider scraps, now if I can just get a little more inventive on mixing my colors I may do okay.

It was also interesting to find out that my friend has a least three or four projects on needles at the same time whereas I only do one project at a time with the exception of some crochet things I started many years ago and need to finish.

So, how about you?  Do you have a knitting nest?  Do you have more than one project going at a time?
Knit on Knitters....It is way cheaper than therapy.

Your "nest" is much neater than mine. (you notice I took the photo "from" my nest NOT "of" my nest). To be fair, I should post another photo.

My stash is scattered through several rooms (bins in my sewing room, baskets in the den and front rooms) I could knit for years without purchasing more yarn.

I don't knit, but I would love to learn!

I have a crochet nest. It is divided like yours. When company comes, it all gravitates back to the main nest for a short time.

Oh, and you are so right about the "therapy" part.

I love your knitting nest! What a blessed thing to do - knit caps for preemies! Our quads wore caps that had been knit by angels like you! What a blessing you are and what a precious thing to do!
I have a whole 'closet' space in my sewing room so I suppose the sewing room itself is MY nest!

I just cleaned up my knitting nest, so now it's just one basket, not overly filled, sitting by my chair. It was really out of control just a few days ago.

My yarn stash has a home in a closet in one of the spare rooms. It's organized pretty well, but my printed pattern collection needs help.

I usually work on one project at a time, but back when I was knitting more, I sometimes had three projects going at once. One that required a good level of concentration, one that I could knit mindlessly and always, a pair of socks--for portability.
