Lucy the Elephant

Lucy the Elephant is located along the beach in Josephine Harron Park in Margate, NJ.
Is she cute? Indeed and she is also listed on the National Park Registry of Historical Landmarks.

At sixty five feet high she was no small endeavor. On the available tour you can climb a spiral staircase through her insides all the way up to the Howdah on her back which will provide you with a 360o view of the shore.

Even her backside is cute

and not missing a beat they did this clever 9/11 fund raiser.....

Is that supposed to be 60 feet high instead of 6 feet high? Lucy is certainly impressive.

That is one elephant I would not mind sitting upon to see the shore in 360 degrees. However, I have no urge to travel to NJ. Peace
