Hubby and I have come to understand that we have saved records for a lot longer than the recommended six years....in fact I don't think we have gotten rid of a thing! So I started one of my new projects............shredding

Well, it has taken several weeks but I am proud to report the job is done. I have even created a little file system to remind myself that when we store our next years records we need to shred the last years.

Thanks for the reminder and the inspiration. I must go through my files and purge and purge and purge. It is a job that I dread.
Well, I have to be honest - we sort of purge as we go. lol

I have receipts and bills that go back to medieval times I think! Maybe I should get on with the shredding too. Actually, I started shredding last year and I'm still at it sporadically. Shredders are marvellous contraptions aren't they!
This is another thing I love about living in the country. We have a large incinerator and I can quickly destroy tons of unneeded papers and even daily junk mail.
I think I'm back to blogging a bit earlier than expected. My broadband usage is quickly going back down.
