Here Kitty, Kitty.........

I borrowed these pictures from Granny J

Now can you image this!!!!!!

Apparently this took place in Northern Arizona.

where you can grow a garden if you dare.......

Here are some interesting Mountain Lion facts:

Cougars live for approximately 8 - 10 years in the wild.

Mountain Lions live solitary lives. A mother mountain lion and it's kittens live together until the kitten is old enough to survive on its own.

Female Mountain lions breed for their first time between 1.5 and 3

Kittens have it rough....only 1 in 6 survive

and the most important......You have a better chance of being struck by lightening than dying because of a mountain lion attack.

This is fascinating and heartbreaking at the same time; aren't they so beautiful?

Really a beautiful animal, but HOLY COW I would flip out if I saw that on my deck! I can't imagine. But, we deal with coyotes all the time and they have come up to our yard. I guess it is just what you are used to!

Lovely to look at - but don't think I'd want to be with one either!

Most unusual as they usually do not come around humans. TWRA stocked the Land Betweens the Lakes(North west TN) area with cougars several years back and I was still hunting at the time and the closest I could get to one was his or her foot print by a pond. I thought it would be thrilling to see one in the wild and here he is laying on someones porch. They are beautiful cats and I have a big Charles Frace print of one. Peace

Hmmmm.... that would be a little disconcerting, to look out of the window and see that face looking in!
