The bell

I went to the grocery store a few days ago and had to return an item. The man before me finished his transaction and reached up and rang the bell.....

Next to the bell was a little sign that said "If you received great service ring the bell". When I had completed my transaction I thought......okay, I guess I can ring the bell....the little worker said "Oh, I love that bell". As I continued to shop and was getting a quart of milk there was another little ding....and several excited workers in the meat counter were proclaiming that Richard got his first ding! When I arrived at the check out counter there were two very friendly workers that hurried to take care of me and yes......another bell waiting for my ding. I don't know about you but I found this to be very interesting, so I ask you...........what do you think about these little bells?

As long as it signals HAPPY I do not mind little bells to help with moral. I especailly liked the little bell in the Chemo office that you can ring when you have finished your round of chemo which offers so much encourgement for those who have not finished yet. Peace

What a great idea! The store increases Customer Service with every "ding."

I am forwarding this to my son for their print shop. What a neat idea. A bell pounded on for service is usually irritating but a ding to signal good service must sound delightful. If you can ring it for good service must mean you didn't need to ring it for service. They are looking for you and are ready.

I think it sounds very motivating for the workers. I wouldn't mind a "ding". Kind of nice that it signals happines. When I visit my parents in FL their local small grocery store has a special phone for the customers to use. It has a sign above it..."The Honey-Do Line".

I found your blog tonight through Bloggers Over 50 and enjoyed reading through your posts. And I want to comment that I usually don't enjoy music on blogs, but the music that plays with yours is beautiful and goes with your blog so well.
