The view

This is the space needle in Seattle, Washington and the view from the top is totally amazing!! The elevator ride to the top at 10 mph wasn't my favorite part, but oh to see the 360 degree view over the whole city is truly magnificent. This is one of the many sites left from the World's Fair held here in 1962.

We made a short little trip here this past week-end to escape the heat for a few days and the weather was luscious indeed but like most trips there were a few unexpected things as well.....such as huge crowds everywhere we went, hills to climb (was informed that Seattle is the sister city of San Francisco) and high prices.

However this clever foot rest in our hotel room was a pleasant surprise.

I love how you travel and share with us. I think you are in Texas - it must have been a relief in temperature for you. Right?

Hi Chatty, I am in Az. and while I enjoyed 79 degrees in Seattle it was 111 degrees here at home. Lucked out....had rained the day we flew home so was only 108.......LOL

I've never been to Seattle, but I've heard good thinga about it, and would love to visit one day. That Space Needle is impressive, just think how marvellous it must have been considered back in 1962!

Looks like fun to me. I would enjoy the space rocket elevator. Peace
