Cinco de Mayo

May 5th is a day of celebrations. Many Mexican restaurants have special menu's and activities to celebrate this Historical day and in Scottsdale there is a parade and much more. Click here to find out more about the origin of this holiday.

Do you celebrate this holiday in your area or is it only in places close to Mexico?

I haven't seen any signs around here indicating any celebrations. Maybe some of the churches celebrate. However the banks I worked for always had employee potluck lunches on this date and everyone brought a Mexican dish. I spent the entire day in the lunchroom!

Oh, I wish! We love Mexican food. Hope you have a wonderful feast - I'll be thinking of you - with a touch of envy.

I've heard of this holiday, but I live a long way from Mexico... so no celebration. However, just the thought of it is making me hungry for mexican food!

I suppose they celebrate it, in the Mexican restaurants in town. And probably on the college campus.

And thank you for the nice comment, on the little hand made truck, which my husband made for a friend.
