Breakfast

In our Red Hatters group the custom is that the person or persons with a birthday in the current month plans an outing...usually lunch. I was the only May birthday and chose to have a breakfast at the Lakes Restaurant. The timing was perfect, not too hot, a wonderful breeze and a gorgeous view.
This is a sunset picture but early morning is just as pretty.
Think I might consider inviting friends out for breakfast more often. How about you, do you usually do lunch with friends? Have you ever done breakfast?

That's a great idea... an event planned by the Red Hat Birthday girls, I'll have to suggest it to our Queen!
We have 2 Red Hat events coming up.... a fancy tea party at one of the retirement Homes on Monday (can't go as I will be having guests at home) and a Red Hatter's Birthday Celebration in 2 weeks time (can't go as I will be in UK).

What's a Red Hatter?
When I get together with friends it's usually lunch.
The lake in the picture looks lovely, especially the fountain.

For awhile we would go out to breakfast after 7:30 Church, but the restuarant that everyone when to and liked was torn down and then they located another place. The coffee was horrible so we just stopped going and came home to a good pot of coffee. With girl friends it is usually lunch. I am glad you are enjoying the Red Hatter. Peace

I've only 'done Breakfast' once. Met a friend at the {very old and lovely} race track in August, for the special breakfast, track side.

You sit and eat very expensively priced food, and watch the horses go by... Breezing and working out.. It's "A Saratoga Experience." :-)

An elegant breakfast spot has great appeal to me. You made a good plan.

Two blogger friends of mine are redhatters (You, of course are one). I like both. However in Kansas the redhatters I knew were a group of clanish old crones. I'll go to the website and look for redeeming qualities of the group.

Happy Birthday! A birthday breakfast sounds like a great idea.

I do love breakfast and brunch. My favorite thing to do on a Sunday morning is to read the New York Times and leisurely drink my coffee.

Several years ago, we'd meet family or friends for brunch - about 11 am.
Now we have to plan later day meets.I love brunch with good company.

Looks like a lovely breakfast spot. I think that all day events are sometimes too hard to plan and a simple breakfast with the society sisters is a great way to start off the day!
