Many years ago now I went to my local goodwill to find some cheap picture frames. I got several and one was really small with a picture of a girl with a balloon. When I removed the back I was shocked to find a beautiful hand painted picture...

I like that you rescued the little treasure. Imagine it being hidden under a mass produced print. It is fun to research painters online, I did that for a painting I have now that was purchased 50 years ago by my parents.
