Early beginnings

After reading the comments on my show and tell I remembered that I had my first dollhouse up in the attic. Since it was raining, I decided to take my life in my hands and climb up there to take a few pictures. Some things you just never outgrow.

A little dirty but still good as new:) This is a Marx's vintage metal dollhouse and like everything in the world, they are selling on ebay along with the furniture.

Can't tell you how many hours I spent arranging all this furniture...wonderful memories.

  1. Going back to ones childhood is fun if it is such a wonderful treasure to play with. I had a metal one but I do not recall it having a garage nor the window in the living room so big. Alas, it perished in a fire.
    peace and have fun

  6. You childhood doll house is very like mine. The style and decor. But, mine is made of: pressboard. And the shutters are senciled red.
But, I did have plastic furniture too. I am very likely a gen. before you.
I have a post of mine for later this month.
