Okay, I have taken a razing from my kids for pronouncing naked with a long a and they say it is suppose to be pronounced more like neck-ed ........so what say you?
It all depends on where you are from I think. For me it's the long a But I have a friend who lives in the same state as me. His family were from Colorado and he says neked and he also says towlit for toilet. I think he may have picked this up from his parents and I have no idea where they were from.
necked is definitely more slangy, I'd say.
