These are little embroidery scissors in a velvet covered holder that then looks like an owl sitting on a branch:) One of my fun finds on ebay.

    Could the velvet covered holder double as a pin cushion? This is a lovely pair of scissors, and very quirky.

    Dabrah you are right! I checked and it is cushioned enough that you could stick pins in it.
